Christina Koren

Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Director of Strategic Partnerships Christina Koren has been selected for the Pennsylvania Business Central’s “Foremost Under 40 2024.”

Koren was featured in the November 27 issue of the publication. The recognition highlights “the young professionals who are the rising generation of business leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs” who are “leading the way in the Pennsylvania business community.

This recognition follows Koren’s 2023 selection for the Pennsylvania Business Central’s “Top 100” listing of business leaders.

In her role at IUP, Koren is an ambassador-at-large for the university, developing partnerships with business, nonprofit, and governmental organizations, both regionally and beyond. She is the producer of the IUP and Indiana Regional Medical Center’s Rural Health Pulse podcast, now in its third season; initiated the “Talon Ticket” program, a partnership with IUP, the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce, and area businesses; and is cochair of the annual IUP and IRMC Pennsylvania Mountains Rural Health Conference, now in its third year.

Koren has almost 20 years of experience in higher education administration. Prior to coming to IUP, she worked as the executive director of mission and community engagement as well as director of government affairs and institutional advancement for other regional institutions of higher education. She continues her love of teaching as an adjunct professor while working on completion of the dissertation for her doctoral degree in educational leadership.

Additionally, she serves on the boards of Cambria County Conservation and Recreation Authority, Bishop Carroll High School, Ebensburg Mainstreet Partnership, Armstrong-Indiana Career Pathways Partnership Executive Committee, and the Indiana County Center for Economic Operations work group.
