Members of Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Army ROTC program will conduct a training event on Saturday, February 22, from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Cadets and members of the ROTC faculty will be carrying unloaded weapons, including rifles and machine guns, during this training exercise. The weapons will not have ammunition or blanks.

The exercise will be conducted on campus around Pierce Hall, at the IUP rugby and baseball fields, and at the National Guard farm training area.

This training exercise is designed to familiarize cadets with operating in cold weather environments and various weapon systems and tactics. Cadets have been instructed to keep the weapons oriented away from all civilian persons or buildings.

The patience and understanding of the community is appreciated during this time.
