Welcome to the fall 2023 semester at IUP! What does the IUP Post Office do, you may ask? Here's what you need to know:

If you are living in IUP-owned campus housing, your mailing address is:

Your name (FIRST, MIDDLE, LAST)
Crimson Hawks # (your four-digit mailbox number)
900 Maple Street
Indiana PA  15705-5007

or

Your name (FIRST, MIDDLE, LAST)
900 Maple Street # (your four-digit mailbox number)
Indiana PA  15705-5007

  • Your four-digit mailbox number can be found by logging in to MyIUP, then accessing Personal Information, and then Mailbox Information.
  • Besides your four-digit mailbox number, you will not see a combination on this screen (it should be all zeros).
  • No student(s) will access their own mailbox.
  • Please have photo identification (I-Card or driver's license) ready to present to a postal employee at the Post Office Counter. They will retrieve any mail/packages that you may have. These items will only be released to the actual addressee. Picking up for someone else is not permitted.
  • Mailboxes are assigned beginning with box #2301 and up. Mailboxes are assigned by the Office of Housing, Residential Living, and Dining, not by the IUP Post Office. Box numbers could change throughout your time at IUP. Please make sure that your address is accurate before using it.
  • Packages/mail are accepted beginning August 1 for incoming fall students each year.
  • Although carriers notify you when they have delivered a package to the IUP Post Office, remember that package(s) must then be processed by us before you can receive them. Once you have received your email notification from the IUP Postmaster that your package is ready for pickup, please wait 30 minutes after receiving this notice to come for it.
  • Mailing of domestic letters, cards, and packages can be done through this facility. Crimson Cash, Cash, or Check (with photo identification) are accepted as payment types at the IUP Post Office. No debit or credit cards are accepted.

International Mailing

  • Mailing of international letters, cards, and postcards can be mailed from this facility.
  • Mailing of international packages requires that a customs form be completed online. You are not able to do a customs form at this facility.
  • There are two ways to ship international packages:
    • Do your own customs form online at USPS, print it out, and bring it in for shipping
    • Take what you're shipping to the main Indiana Post Office, 47 South 7th Street, Indiana PA  15701.  They are able to do the customs form online for you and are able to accept debit or credit cards.

Hours of Operation

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:55 p.m. Closed Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
