Timothy Runge (Educational and School Psychology) was awarded a research grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education to investigate the extent to which Pennsylvania educators are prepared to recognize and respond to students impacted by trauma or distress, including trauma or distress related to COVID-19.
The project, in collaboration with colleagues Timothy Knoster and Danielle Empson from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania's McDowell Institute, is part of a larger body of work these colleagues are conducting to provide high-quality professional development for pre- and in-service educators across the commonwealth to recognize and respond to mental health issues of children, youth, and families.
