Mission Statement

ASC@IUP is a hub connecting students with IUP's array of curricular, co-curricular, and other support services that promote student success and well-being. It is a one-stop, one-click resource that responds to needs of the university community.

Goals of the Center

  • Positively impact overall student success and well-being;
  • Contribute to student satisfaction regarding their IUP experience;
  • Link students, faculty and staff with resources that contribute to student success.

Outcomes

Students will be able to:

  • Understand risk factors that may limit their ability to effectively transition and be successful at IUP, as well as persist to graduation;
  • Demonstrate an awareness and use of curricular, co-curricular, and other support services that enhance academic success;
  • Develop an action plan to address and effectively navigate through barriers that limit success.

Faculty and staff will be able to:

  • Identify resources that support student success and well-being;
  • Utilize the center resources in support of effective advising and coaching;
  • Better connect students with available resources.

ASC@IUP will:

  • Disseminate timely communications related to student success;
  • Ensure that university resources are aligned with student needs;
  • Collaborate with other university offices and groups to provide professional development for the university community.
