The fall 2020 plan for the Center for Teaching Excellence reflective practice large group meetings is to place the focus on “reflection on practice.”
Many people are teaching in a variety of formats and delivery modes and may want to have an opportunity to sort through ideas, successes, and challenges.
Instead of presentations, facilitated discussions will allow faculty to reflect on and share thoughts on practice. Because we will conduct our meetings via Zoom, we'll schedule them for an hour, but will try to keep them to about 45 minutes. We realize that Zoom fatigue is real!
Please mark your calendars for the following dates/times:
Wednesday, September 16, 4:30-5:30 p.m.: Teaching Circles and Mini-Grants, facilitated by Rachel DeSoto-Jackson
Wednesday, October 7, 3:30-4:30 p.m.: Reflection On Hybrid Teaching Practice, co-facilitated by Veronica Paz and Mimi Benjamin
Thursday, November 5, 3:30-4:30 p.m.: Reflection on Remote Teaching Practice, co-facilitated by Jacqueline McGinty; Education, Training, and Instructional Technology graduate assistants; and Mimi Benjamin
Wednesday, December 2, 3:30-4:30 p.m.: Reflection on Fall Teaching Practice, facilitated by Mimi Benjamin
Join us by Zoom.
We will continue to have our book drawings and great conversations about teaching.
If you have questions, please free to contact Mimi Benjamin, Center for Teaching Excellence Co-Director, Reflective Practice Large Group Meetings (mimi.benjamin@iup.edu).
We look forward to seeing you there!
