The 20th annual Pennsylvania Banner Group (PABUG) conference was held November 24-26, 2019, in Harrisburg.
More than 20 IUP employees attended the event, including senior systems analyst Doug Rutledge as PABUG secretary. IUP employees took part in eight sessions, second-most among the 22 presenting institutions.
IUP Executive Director of Application Development Jeff Montgomery participated in three sessions. He presented "Starting our Third Decade in Banner: How IUP is Moving Forward?" and "Reporting Solutions for Academic College and Department Chairs." Montgomery joined Executive Director Todd Cunningham and Coordinator of Web Development Eric Parks as subject matter experts for "Leading the Uncomfortable Journey: Leaving the Old IT Behind," presented by Chief Information Officer Bill Balint.
Communications Technology Manager Eric Barker presented "Portal Content Administration: Developing and Managing Luminis of Any University Portal" and co-facilitated a panel discussion on "Social Media: Facilitating Technology Adoption and Promoting Events."
Registrar's Office Assistant Director of Technology Nathan Blose co-presented with Parks on "Implementation and Communications of Banner 9 Applications" and with systems analyst Shawn Nicklow on "Banner Communication Management."
Admissions Office Operations Technology Manager Debra Brosch and management technician Ben Johnston presented "Moving to CRM Recruit Constituent Experience (CX)."
