IT Services provides technology services via ihelp, the Student Computing Help Desk, and Virtual IT Support. Support is provided to all students, faculty, and staff at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

IUP students are encouraged to review the IT Support Resources for Students. This page will point you in the right direction for your technology needs. University community members can obtain self-service assistance by reviewing the menu items on this page under Get Support.

Requests for assistance or reporting issues can be made through the following methods. Office hours for each service are listed on the footer of our page.


Virtual IT Support

Virtual IT Support is a service where the university community can connect via Zoom to receive live help desk support for all technology-related issues. Virtual support can be found via Zoom by joining Virtual IT Support.


Submit a help desk ticket (ihelp.iup.edu)

Please visit ihelp.iup.edu to log a ticket for any technology need or question. ihelp is a service that the university community can utilize for the most efficient means of receiving IT assistance, as it accepts tickets on a 24x7 basis (though responses typically occur during normal business hours). General IT inquiries can be sent via email (it-support-center@iup.edu) or by using the IT customer service line (724-357-4000).

Student Computing Help Desk

Students can receive assistance with a variety of technology problems, including password resets and the reinstallation of a computer's operating system. The Student Computing Help Desk in Delaney Hall is open for walk-ins, although appointments for hardware issues can be requested via ihelp.

Self Service Password Reset

IUP utilizes Microsoft's Self Service Password Reset for completing password resets. International phone numbers can be used for completing a password reset. In addition, you have the ability to add a personal email address as a secondary recovery option.


Library IT Support

Stapleton Library and IT Support are combining efforts to provide support outside normal business hours. The Library IT Support desk is open Monday through Thursday 4:30–9:30 p.m. (available through finals week)

Our services are now available outside of our hours at Delaney. Stop by for issues regarding Duo, email, logging in, D2L, or any other inquiries.

Cunningham Named IUP Chief Information Officer

Todd Cunningham, who has nearly three decades of experience in higher education information technology, most recently as executive director of Information Technology Services at IUP, has been named IUP’s chief information officer.

Scheduled Network Outage on Sunday, March 10

IUP's computer network will undergo an upgrade during spring break on Sunday, March 10. It is anticipated there will not be IUP network connectivity from 5:00 a.m. to noon, including at the regional campuses.

IUP Cybersecurity Day Set for Oct. 31

IUP’s Institute for Cybersecurity, in collaboration with the PC4A Project and Information Technology Support Center, will host the sixteenth annual Cybersecurity Day on October 31. This annual event features nationally recognized security experts as well as speakers from government, the security industry, and academia. It is free and open to the community.
