Elizabeth LaVelle Scholarship
The Elizabeth LaVelle Scholarship is awarded in the spring semester, every four years, to student(s) who meet the following criteria:
- Full-time entering freshmen students enrolled in the Allied and Public Health Department
- Students who have scored at least 1000 on their combined SAT scores
- Students who havea minimum of a 3.0 GPA
- Students who are determined to be of high ability
- Students who have financial need according to government standards
- To remain eligible for the scholarship, the student recipient(s) must maintain a 3.0 overall GPA by the end of the spring semester each year and must remain enrolled in the Department of Allied and Public Health
Oxley, Rhodes, and Merriman Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded each spring semester by the faculty to one full-time student in the Department of Allied and Public Health. Scholarship criteria include:
- Full-time students pursing a degree in the Department of Allied and Public Health
- Students who have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
- Students who have a financial need
- The scholarship is renewable if the recipient maintains a 3.0 overall GPA by the end of the spring semester
Rita M. Johnson Legacy Scholarship
The Rita M. Johnson Legacy Scholarship is awarded in the spring semester to one full-time student pursuing a degree in the Department of Allied and Public Health.
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Scholarships
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation awards scholarships each spring. Scholarship application forms may be downloaded from the Foundation website, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Students must be a member to be eligible; other eligibility requirements may vary depending on the scholarship. Most awards are between $500 and $3,000. Applications are available from September to February, and final applications must be postmarked by early February for consideration.
The Pennsylvania Academy of Nutrition and Dietetic Foundation Scholarships
The Pennsylvania Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation (PAND) offers scholarships each year to student members pursuing undergraduate degrees. The application deadline is in early March. Please visit the Academy's website, PAND, for the application and more information.
