Local Alumni Invited to Campus on June 23

The Office of Alumni and Constituent Engagement will welcome local alumni to Breezedale on Friday, June 23 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. for the first Hawk’s Nest Meet and Greet. The outdoor event will encourage IUP Pride, unity, and support of IUP alumni and their families.

IUP Council of Trustees Approve Naming of Rooms in Kovalchick Complex in Honor of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity

On May 4, 2023, Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Council of Trustees approved naming two rooms in IUP’s Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex in honor of the contributions from IUP’s Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity.

IUP Ambassadors Seeking Qualified Student Members

The IUP Ambassadors, IUP’s student alumni association, is seeking the nomination of qualified students for membership. Faculty, staff, and alumni are encouraged to nominate a student for membership. Students can self-nominate by completing a membership application.

Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient Named CEO of Dow Jones, Publisher of “Wall Street Journal”

Almar Latour, a 1994 journalism graduate and 2010 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient, will become the next chief executive officer of Dow Jones and publisher of the Wall Street Journal, succeeding William Lewis upon his departure on May 15, 2020, according to an announcement from the Wall Street Journal.
