IUP, along with a selected group of national universities, received funding in the 2020–21 academic year from the Department of Defense (DoD) in support of the Cyber Service Academy (formerly the Cyber Scholarship Program).
In addition to the scholarship recruitment award, IUP received Capacity-Building awards to offer development workshops for students and faculty at Pennsylvania community colleges.
