IUP held the National Security Agency/National Science Foundation-sponsored GenCyber Summer 2023 camp in June 2023. The camp addressed essential security concepts through hands-on activities, challenging projects, and guest lectures by leaders of industry.

Summer Camp (Middle and High School Students)
- Camp Dates: June 12–16, 2023
- Camp's focus was on several technical topics on cybersecurity and safe online behavior.
Participation Advantages
- The camp was offered at no cost to participants.
- Instructions and mentorship from IUP faculty and other security experts.
- Valuable knowledge and skills that prepares participants to know more about a very promising and growing career field.
- A small-sized computer (Raspberry Pi) kit was awarded to each participant.
