Tom Delcoco, a May 2006 graduate of the Industrial and Labor Relations program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, initiated a scholarship fund in memory of Lindsey Ann Johnson Fehl, an ILR 2007 alumna.

Tom provided the following information regarding the scholarship.

On July 19, 2008, a fellow student, coworker, and friend passed away. Lindsey Ann Johnson Fehl was also a graduate of the Industrial and Labor Relations program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, having graduated in May of 2007. I had the privilege and honor to work closely with Lindsey for a little more than a year. She was a caring, loving, compassionate, and determined individual; working her way through the ILR program holding a full-time position. Unfortunately, Lindsey did not have a long time to enjoy the fruits of her graduate knowledge. Lindsey passed away suddenly on July 19, 2008.

To honor her memory, I believe that it would be fitting to recognize and reward those students who share the same passion for education and their careers as Lindsey did. To that end, I decided to start the very first annual Lindsey Ann Johnson Fehl memorial scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to an incoming student who possesses the same drive Lindsey embraced. Of course, there is no obligation to donate, but if you are interested in making a contribution to this fund, please send your contributions to the ELR Graduate SHRM Chapter referencing the Lindsey Ann Johnson Fehl memorial scholarship on the memo line. The address is listed below. Any and all donations will be appreciated. I can assure you that this scholarship fund will be used to support a student who shares the same resolve and passion toward the field as Lindsey did. Thank you.
