Temptation of the Muses

A blossom of color, energy and motion, the dances of Nai-Ni Chen fuse the dynamic freedom of American modern dance with the grace and splendor of Asian art. The work draws on elements from the flowing lines of Chinese calligraphy to the thundering motion of the martial arts.

The dancers are joined on stage by the Ahn Trio, one of classical music's most innovative ensembles, all moving to music composed by Kenjii Bunch. Separately, the ensembles are two of the finest and most world-traveled artists touring today. Together, the result is a mesmerizing display of sheer aural and visual beauty.
