The James G. Mill Center for Health and Fitness in Zink Hall hosted its annual 5K on Saturday, May 4, 2019.
The 5K took place at South Campus, starting at the IUP baseball and softball fields. Registration for the race started at 9:00 a.m. and the race started at 10:00 a.m.
All proceeds were donated to Four Footed Friends, located in Indiana, Pennsylvania. Four Footed Friends, founded in 1982, is a nonprofit organization created to help homeless animals. We were excited to give to such a great nonprofit organization.
This year we were able to raise $1,500 to donate to Four Footed Friends. The race totaled over 80 runners and walkers along with over 30 dogs. We would like to thank all of the participants and those who sponsored the 5k for helping us raise this amount of money for a great cause.
Stay tuned for information for our upcoming event next year. We hope to see you all there!
