The Mid-Atlantic Research and Training Institute for Community and Behavioral Health (MARTI-CBH) invites you to attend a presentation by Aleisha Albertson, who will speak about her substance abuse recovery and efforts to assist others in the region with the same health problem. The title of her talk is "The Opioid Epidemic: A Personal Experience & the Need for Community Support in the Recovery Process."

Albertson is an assistant director at Blair County Drug and Alcohol Partnership. She has worked for nine years at Pyramid Healthcare, Inc., a dual-diagnosis inpatient treatment center. During her employment, she developed Pyramid's 12-step training program for new staff members in addition to performing several other clinical roles. She holds numerous certifications for substance abuse treatment. Albertson also speaks frequently at area schools regarding the many consequences of substance abuse.

Aleisha Albertson's talk is part of MARTI-CBH's Regional Opioid/Heroin Research and Outreach Initiative.
