Three alumni from the Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences will speak to students as part of S-COAM Alumni Day on March 16, 2020.
Ashleigh Craig '14, a data scientist for the US Department of Defense; Derek Hanely '16, M'17, a PhD student in Mathematics at the University of Kentucky; and Lisa Vatavuk '15, a DevOps engineer for Risk Focus, will be on campus on March 16 to speak to students and give career advise.
- Ashleigh Craig will speak on "Big Data and the Secret Lives of Mathematicians" from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Stright Hall, room 226
- Derek Hanely will speak on "Polytopes: A Friendly Introduction" from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Stright Hall, room 229
- Lisa Vatavuk, along with Craig and Hanely, will participate in a panel discussion on careers from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Hadley Union Building, Susquehanna Room.
