Professor Russ Stocker of the Mathematical and Computer Sciences Department will offer a series of two online workshops on using R on October 1 and October 8, 2020, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.
R is an open source language and environment for statistical computing and graphics that is extensively used in both academia and industry.
In the first workshop, Stocker will introduce the major components of R, including installation, data manipulation, descriptive statistics, graphics, and simple linear regression. In the second workshop, participants will learn how to use R for confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, logistic regression, and advanced graphical techniques.
