The week before classes resumed for the spring semester, students from the Department of Theatre, Dance, and Performance actively participated in the Region 2 Kennedy Center-American College Theatre Festival 53.
Eve Urban and Lauren Wolbert presented a workshop based on their senior thesis project, “Accessibility and Theatre: Creating a Sensory-Friendly Play.”
Adeline Riley (allied design-makeup design), Caitlin Chavis (costume design-class project), and Cat Hebner (costume design-interrupted production) presented their design work at the Design/Technology/Management Expo.
Addie Minich, Alexis Haigh, Eve Urban, Jacob Jencks, Lauren Wolbert, and Matt Daning were invited to take part in the Collaborative Theatre Challenge, participating in virtual rehearsals and a subsequently recorded presentation of the 2008 Yale Drama Award-winning play, Grenadine, by Neil Weschler. At the festival, Grenadine premiered under his direction as a Zoom platform performance.
Jeremy Galloza auditioned and was chosen for the Musical Theatre Initiative Cabaret performance.
Adeline Riley (as reigning King Peter Pansy) virtual MC-ed the second annual Region 2 Drag Show.
