Annette Olesen has provided safety and health consulting to industry for 25 years. She has been with the PA/OSHA Consultation Program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania since 1997. Ms. Olesen has worked in construction, battery manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and shipyard environments. Within the PA/OSHA Consultation Program, she consults small employers from a wide range of businesses. The main focus of her consultation visits is to assist and advise small employers regarding OSHA compliance and safety program development.
Her Master of Science degree in Environmental Science was obtained from Drexel University, and her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She obtained her certification in industrial hygiene in 1990 and her certification in environmental training in 1995. She is both a local section and national member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), where she works with the communications and training committee.
She has been a member of the Philadelphia section of AIHA since 1983 and has previously served as secretary and director. Other professional affiliations include the National Environmental Training Association.
