Cpt Brian A. VissepoCpt Brian A. Vissepo received an ROTC contract from the University of Colorado, Boulder program in 2013. He completed his bachelor of arts degree in history at the Metropolitan State University of Denver in December 2015.

He commissioned as a transportation officer in December 2015 and attended the Transportation Basic Officer Leader’s Course in August 2016. Following BOLC, he was assigned to the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, KS. His assignments included Bravo Company, 101st Brigade Support Battalion’s maintenance platoon leader, completing one partial tour in the Republic of Korea supporting Korea Rotational Forces in 2016, 1st Support Maintenance Company, 541st CSSB’s maintenance control officer, 266th Movement Control Team’s executive officer, wherein completing one tour in 2018 to Poland in support of Atlantic Resolve, and the 1st Special Troops Battalion’s, S4.

In 2020, he attended Logistics-Captain’s Career Course and, upon completion, was assigned to the Material Support Command-Korea, 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command located at Camp Carroll, Republic of Korea. He served as the deputy support operations officer for the 6th Ordnance Battalion, MSC-K. While stationed in the Republic of Korea, Cpt Vissepo served as the company commander for the 665th Movement Control Team, 25th Transportation Battalion, from August 2022 to May 2024. In June 2024, CPT Vissepo became the assistant professor of military science and executive officer for the Warrior Battalion at Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Army ROTC program.

His awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal (2), Army Achievement Medal (2), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon, and Korean Defense Service Medal.

He has been happily married to Rae L. Vissepo since the fall of 2016.
