Listed below are the multiple updates, provider, and instructor classes.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: On November 4, 2021, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid announced an interim rule requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for all healthcare workers (including students and faculty) who provide care, treatment, or services for a covered provider.

Some departments at IUP have already received word that many clinical sites are mandating the COVID vaccination for all students and staff who are at their sites. The sites are requiring that students have the first vaccine of Pfizer or Moderna (or the only vaccine of Johnson & Johnson) by December 5, 2021, and the second Pfizer or Moderna vaccine by January 2, 2022. In most cases, it does not appear any exemptions will be granted.

The IUP EMT and Paramedic Programs want to make sure all EMS students are aware of this requirement.
