BLS Basic Life Support American Heart Association Course

The IUP Institute for Rural Health and Safety is offering an American Heart Association CPR course, BLS for Healthcare Providers (Basic Life Support). This course includes CPR and airway management techniques for adult, child, and infant patients and the use of a bag-valve mask and AED. Students who successfully complete the course, all practical skills, and a multiple-choice written exam with an 84 percent or higher will obtain an American Heart Association CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers certification card valid for two years. Fees do not represent income to the American Heart Association.

Registration

Registration and payment are due two days before class. Preregistration is required.

• To reregister, please go to the American Heart Association.
• At the bottom of the page, click on the CPR&ECC tab.
• Click on Find A Course.
• Next, choose Find A Class Near You in the middle of the page.
• Enter IUP Research Institute
• Click on Find a Class.
• Choose the CLASS with the date that best suits your schedule. Be sure to add in the date of the class in the CLASS DATE SEARCH BAR.
• Click Enroll (if the class you have chosen is marked close, you must choose another class).
• The next screen will say ENROLLED. You can ignore the Materials Required because they will be provided for you.
• Payment is made on Marketplace.
• Choose American Heart Association.
  
• Next, choose which class(es) you will be attending.
• Add to cart.
• Check out.
• Follow the prompts to fill out the registration form. Be sure to indicate which class and the date of the class.

Enrollment is limited and will be accepted until the class is filled. IUP reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment, at which time fees would be refunded. Late registration will be accepted if space is available.
