The Center for Transportation focuses on injury prevention by offering safety and drivers' education courses and by coordinating Community Traffic Safety Projects in Pennsylvania. A secondary focus for the Center for Transportation is Active Transportation by working with communities in Pennsylvania to foster and improve walk-friendly and bike-friendly places.

Novice State-wide Driver Program is a PennDOT Highway Safety Grant focusing on novice driver education using presentation materials from the PA Enhanced Driver Ed Guide, which includes the Perceptual Driving Program Curriculum; the Stop, Think, and Go Decision Making Process; and Working With Your Teen Driver Mentor/Parent Driver Program.
