Services and Description
Focus II
- A computer-based assessment tool that helps to measure a person's values and interests and gives the user insight on occupations that match those values and interests.
Interest Inventories
- The Major and Career Exploration Center currently uses Strong Interest Inventory and the Self-Directed Search that measure your interests as they relate to possible occupations for you.
Career Counselors
- Professional and paraprofessional staff trained in career exploration will help you decide a major through consultation.
Resource Library
- The Major and Career Exploration Center has books, occupational briefs, and handouts on numerous professions that give insight on careers in most occupations.
ADVT 170 “Career Exploration”
- This one-credit career exploration course allows students to participate actively in selecting a major and learning about career resources at IUP. To enroll in this course, each student must obtain permission from the assistant director of the Department of Disability Access and Advising.
