John A. Mueller, SAHE professor emeritus, will be recognized by the American College Personnel Association as the 2025 recipient of the Esther Lloyd-Jones Professional Service Award at the association’s annual convention in February 2025.
The award recognizes John’s commitment to service through significant, continued, and unselfish service and leadership activities that have benefited the campuses where he has worked, the profession, ACPA, and the profession’s practice on the state and national levels.
Mueller has been actively involved in ACPA throughout his career and made significant contributions to the association in a variety of roles over the past four decades. He has presented more than 55 times at ACPA conventions, and he served as a trainer for various ACPA initiatives on campuses around the country. He also served on or led almost 20 different ACPA committees—including significant contributions to the Senior Scholars, ACPA Educational Foundation, and the ACPA 100th Anniversary Committee in recent years.
