To provide financial support for the programming of the IUP Jazz Ensemble (formerly known as 'the Mellowmen') and the IUP Jazz Band. Money may be used for a variety of purposes, including but not necessarily limited to: travel expenses for ensembles on tour; purchase of equipment; professional services for guest performers, conductors, and artists; commissioning of new work for jazz performance; recording and production of CDs and/or DVDs; collaborative programming with other ensembles or artists; etc.
