IUP Emergency Management offers CPR, First Aid, and/or AED classes to students, faculty, and staff of IUP. All classes are taught by a certificated American Red Cross instructor.
About the Courses
Classes can be conducted by blended learning, which is an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session.
Included in the cost of each class are the following:

AED Course
The AED Orientation session will provide attendees with an overview of how an AED works, where they are located on campus, why they are necessary, when they are needed, what you can do to help in an emergency, and more.
CPR
The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, including but not limited to bleeding wounds, sudden illness, stroke, head, neck, back injuries, environmental emergencies, and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies using CPR and an AED to help victims of any age—adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive an American Red Cross certification for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, valid for two years.
