Premier International Dance Ensembles Presented by Hilton Garden Inn and Lively Arts

The premier dance ensembles Nrityagram and Chitrasena, from India and Sri Lanka, will perform on Tuesday, March 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Fisher Auditorium of the IUP Performing Arts Center, presented by the Lively Arts and the Hilton Garden Inn Indiana at IUP.

Indian Dance Ensemble Presentation

The Nrityagram Dance Ensemble, in collaboration with the Chitrasena Dance Company, present a Lecture/Demonstration that is an introduction to Odissi dance, as evolved and practiced at Nrityagram, and Kandyan dance, as developed and practiced by the Chitrasena Dance School.

Theater-by-the-Grove to Present Sandglass Theatre’s “When I Put on Your Glove”

"When I Put On Your Glove" is open to the public and will be presented in Waller Hall’s Mainstage Theater on March 19 at 7:30 p.m. It explores what legacy means through puppetry, dance, and spoken word. This performance is free, but it is a ticketed event.

Theater-by-the-Grove Presents Comedy Mystery “The 39 Steps, Abridged”

Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Theater-by-the-Grove will present “The 39 Steps, Abridged,” a comedy-mystery based on the Alfred Hitchcock movie and adapted for the stage by Patrick Barlow.  This abridged one-hour production will be presented at Waller Hall’s Mainstage February 28–March 2 at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee performance on March 3 at 2:00 p.m.

IUP Symphony Orchestra Partners with Local Rock Band, Somebody to Love, for Unique Concert

Classical music meets rock music when Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Symphony Orchestra collaborates with the local rock band Somebody to Love for a concert titled “Classic Meets Rock” with music from the Beatles, Elton John, Toto, Aretha Franklin, and more on Wednesday, February 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Fisher Auditorium on the campus of IUP.
