The Ida Z. Arms Scholarship for Mathematics is presented to students enrolled full-time at Indiana University of Pennsylvania who best meet the following criteria:
- Has a declared major in mathematics or mathematics education
- Has completed at least 60 credit hours or more
- Has earned a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in mathematics
- Demonstrates overall academic achievement
Miss Arms taught at Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 1959to 1987. Her activities included advisor to the KME chapter at IUP, national vice president of KME from 1997to 1981, and president of the National Organization from 1981to 1985.
