The Roy A. Daugherty Scholarship is given to worthy students selected with preference in the following order:

  1. Sons or daughters of members of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity who attended IUP with Mr. Daugherty
  2. Students living in West Deer Township and who attended school there
  3. Students from Valley High School (New KensingtonArnold School District) who plan to teach mathematics
  4. Students deemed worthy by the scholarship committee
