The Jones White Writing Center will be open for online tutoring during all three summer sessions: Pre-Session, Summer I, and Summer II.
Tutoring
Our hours are 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5:00 p.m. Sundays. Graduate and undergraduate tutors are available for two kinds of online appointments:
- Online appointments, where students can meet a tutor via Zoom or WCOnline and discuss your work. These are recommended for all students.
- eTutoring Appointments, where students can upload their writing, answer questions about their assignment, and receive a tutor's feedback. eTutoring appointments are designed for those who have low-speed internet or other connectivity issues.
Students can schedule a tutorial by visiting MyIUP > Academics and then looking under Academic Support and Resources and clicking the last link, Schedule an online writing tutorial.
Workshops
We are available to offer faculty-requested writing workshops on a variety of topics. Look over our full list of workshops and information on how to schedule a workshop.
We can offer a Zoom-based synchronous or a recorded asynchronous workshop. Our tutors also have some very limited in-person availability if you are offering an in-person summer class.
Graduate Writing Groups
We will also be running our popular Graduate Writing Groups throughout the summer (signups for these groups are now closed).
