Academic colleges, departments, and administrative offices can request wireless network access for guest lecturers, speakers, presenters, academic review teams, and other visitors. A guest wireless account will allow the guest to access the Internet as part of their presentation or work on campus.
Before a guest can connect to the wireless network, a guest wireless account must be requested by an IUP employee. Guest wireless accounts will only be active for a specified period of time. After a guest account is activated, a computer can be configured with the standard IUP wireless configuration to permit the guest's computer wireless access. Guest notebooks must meet the IUP wireless network requirements: an 802.11a/g/n/ac compliant wireless network card that supports the WPA2 security policy with AES encryption.
The college, department, or administrative office with whom the guest is working will need to request a guest wireless account via ihelp.
