All IUP String Project alumni, students, and teachers are invited to join us for the IUP String Project 20th Anniversary Concert which will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 1 p.m. in Gorell Hall (second floor of Sutton Hall) on the IUP campus.

IUP theater and English education alumna Kaitlyn Cramer ’17 credits theater faculty encouragement for creative risk-taking that launched her into an international career. CanvasRebel, an online storytelling and interview platform, recently featured Cramer as one of the independent artists sharing stories and insights on their field.

Keystone Wind Ensemble Invited to Perform at Texas Bandmasters Association Conference

The Keystone Wind Ensemble received an invitation to perform at the 2025 Texas Bandmasters Association Conference, July 24–26 in San Antonio, Texas. It is anticipated that over 6,500 people will attend the conference, including 2,400 band directors and more than 600 industry-related exhibitors.

Jazz in Your Face Big Band Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Joint Concert

On Saturday, February 1, the Johnstown-based big band Jazz in Your Face celebrated its twenty-fifth year of existence by presenting a concert that also featured students from nine high schools in Cambria and Somerset counties.

Keystone Wind Ensemble Presents Second Annual Performance

Following an eight-year hiatus, the Keystone Wind Ensemble returned to IUP in November 2023 to present a reunion concert. Based on the success of that performance, the ensemble returned in November 2024 for a second performance. Approximately 60 musicians returned to IUP for a series of rehearsals that culminated in a performance on November 3, 2024.

Alumna Releases Single “Be Okay”

Roxanne (Roxie) Person (BSEd ’17) recently released her first single. Titled “Be Okay” and released under the name Roxie Lex, this song is available for download or streaming from all major platforms, including Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify, and YouTube.
