Network management includes the planning, operation, and maintenance of the university internet connection, the physical network infrastructure, network devices such as repeaters, switches, routers, and wireless access points, the fiber optic backbone, TCP/IP, DNS servers, and DHCP servers.
This service provides network access to the university and the branch campuses according to these specifications:

Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity consists of dual 10Gb connections for Internet1 and Internet2 via KINBER, a 10Gb connection for Internet1 via Windstream and a 100Mb Intra-SSHEnet.

Internet Services are provided to the main campus, Punxsutawney, Northpointe, and Pittsburgh East network locations.

Local Area Network (LAN) Edge connectivity is 10/100/1000 Mb Ethernet and is available through over 25,000+ active network jacks stemming from IUP's 10Gb fiber-optic backbone network.

Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) access is 802.11 a/g/n and is available at all campuses via 1,700+ wireless access points

The following table shows connectivity prices for single connections. Jack splitters are not allowed on network activations. Requests for jack activations and moves are made via ihelp. Please include the Cost Center for the charges when submitting your request.
