Description: Two-hundred African American men arrested for domestic violence in Pittsburgh will receive conventional batterer counseling plus case management. Their outcomes in terms of counseling attendance, re-arrests, and reassault will be compared to the outcomes of previously established control and comparison groups.
Goal: to evaluate the effectiveness of specialized case management in reducing re-assaults and arrests of African American men arrested for domestic violence.
