Susan Boser (PI), with Alex Heckert, Brandon Vick, David Yerger, and master's student Rob Matchett, examined the opportunities and barriers to integrated employment for individuals with disabilities in rural areas of Pennsylvania.
The study focused on the options that community providers have, as well as the challenges they face when attempting to address and overcome various barriers. In order to provide supplemental evidence, the strategies being used pertaining to the task in other states were examined. Policy considerations based on the research findings are being developed, and will be presented in the near future.
