David Bluemling helps clients obtain large federal and state research and development tax credits and uses cost segregation studies to help clients increase cash flow through accelerated tax depreciation. He also specializes in tax and business valuation and handles domestic estate and wealth transfer plans, S corporations, and multistate tax issues.
He is a leader of the German American Business Circle of Pittsburgh and its German Executive Group. He also is a past board director of CPAmerica Internationalthe world's sixth-largest association of independent CPA firmsand brought the organization's annual accounting/auditing conference to Pittsburgh in 2008 in celebration of the city's 250th birthday. In 2004, the Pittsburgh Business Times named him a "Fast Tracker," and he was named the Eberly College of Business "Outstanding Entrepreneur" in 2009 by his alma mater, Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Bluemling has been featured for his expertise in the Pittsburgh Business Times, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. He has been an expert panelist for the "BusinessKillers" seminar series and an annual presenter at the Business Times' "100 Fastest Growing Companies" event. He has spoken on creating physician-hospital partnering arrangements at the Corazon Conference in Florida.
He is currently on the board of the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh and is a past board advisor for the Baierl Family YMCA and YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee/Spencer. Mr. Bluemling also is a member of the Allegheny/HYP Club and Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh.
Mr. Bluemling holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Eberly College of Business at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a CVA certificate from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
